A beautiful single fusee English drop dial wall clock by a Hull clockmaker, c1858.

Item Description

E and J Jefferson were know to be working in Hull in the middle of the 19th century, at premises in Fish Street.  The single train clock bears all the fine characteristics of Victorian clockmaking.

A John Jefferson is also recorded as making clocks in Pocklington in 1834 and another is recorded as working as a clockmaker and watchmaker in Market Place, Driffield between 1823 and 1858.
